Once operated, the handle winds the cable onto and off the drum, thereby enabling loads to be lifted, pulled or moved. An electric winch is a motorised device designed to wind or unwind a cable (steel or synthetic) in order to lift, pull or move loads. Unlike manual winches, which require human strength to operate, electric winches are powered by an electric motor, enabling them to handle heavier loads. Vehicle winches are used for pulling/hauling operations of various loads : trailers, quad, 4 x 4 , mower tractor…. Hoists and lifting beams are used for lifting and handling heavy loads. Hoists are independent lifting devices designed to reduce the effort required for lifting operations. They can be manual or electric and are adapted to different types of suspension (travelling cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, etc.). Spreader beams are more like accessories and are inserted between the lifting or handling equipment (hoists, etc.) and the load in order to distribute the forces required to move the load when it has a certain gauge...
